Vertigo, and therefore 'vertigo'. When we think of this word we can only refer to the sensation that comes over us from time to time when faced with great heights. However, originally this word was used above all to indicate the rotation of celestial bodies . Galileo Galilei, for example, writing about clouds, said that "they could be seen moving with very fast, large and constant motion, carried by the diurnal vertigo of the earth".
It is from this ancient and noble meaning that we took inspiration to name this important floor globe, with a profoundly contemporary design : the free rotation of the sphere, in fact, expresses the 'vertigo' cited by the great Italian astronomer, father of modern science.
